In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Agree to Disagree.”
He said, he said.
She said, she said.
He said, she said.
Everything has already been said.
And then silence.
Because to love is to listen,
not just their words
but their sense of quiet,
listen to their eyes looking everywhere and nowhere
only wanting to look at you, but couldn’t;
argument begins with words
and ends with a tired voice
forgiveness begins with being quiet,
and letting your all of your silence speak instead.
